Arcana 14 Temperance in the destiny matrix
The fourteenth arcana in the destiny matrix is Temperance. The energy of moderation and inner balance. In the plus, such a person is calm and predictable to be around, in the minus they live on a swing themselves and rock everyone around them.
Energy in the plus
- Calm, harmonious, pleasant to deal with
- Predictable: you know what to expect
- Able to hold the balance between the spiritual and the material
- Developed self-control, resolves conflicts peacefully
- Creative, loves music, books, art
- A healer by nature, people calm down next to them
Energy in the negative
- Shyness, abstaining from everything, nitpicking
- The other extreme: brings chaos into their own life and others'
- Constant conflicts at work and in the family, rudeness
- A see-saw person: was laughing a minute ago, crying the next
- Extremes in money: uncontrolled spending or saving on everything
- Tendency to addictions and bad habits, weak willpower
- At the very bottom can become cold and unfeeling
What kind of energy is this
Temperance is about proportion. Not refusing life and not diving into it headfirst, but measure: how much work, how much rest, how much given, how much taken. When the proportion is found, a person with the fourteen becomes a pillar of support for those around them.
Such people heal well simply by their presence. Near them anxiety decreases, because there are no sudden movements and no drama.
The minus of this arcana is always about swings. First internal: mood jumps, the person doesn't understand themselves. Then external: a binge and demonstrative sobriety, extravagance and harsh saving, love and scandal.
Temperance in different points of the matrix
- In the center the task of life is to find one's own rhythm and not fall into extremes.
- In personal points it gives softness and an even character, but in the minus, unpredictability.
- In the relationship zone the fourteen seeks a calm partner and destroys calmness itself when in the minus.
- In the money zone income is steady when moderation is observed and erratic during swings.
- In the ancestral line there is often a theme of addictions that the family doesn't talk about.
How to bring the fourteenth energy into the plus
- Establish a routine: sleep, food, work, rest on schedule. For this arcana, routine heals.
- Track extremes: as soon as "all or nothing" begins, the energy has gone into the minus.
- Have an outlet for inner tension: music, creativity, working with your hands.
- Look honestly at habits. Addiction sneaks up unnoticed for this arcana.
- Don't decide important things at an emotional peak, neither on the rise nor on the fall.
